In 2022
I began an exploration in my collages of intentionally juxtaposing scenes of queerness with words and phrases associated with the religion I was raised in.
I used my own story
I pulled deliberately from my personal feelings and experiences to create the narrative prompts of Lady, Riot! and My Heart is a Kaleidoscope. It was the first time in my collages that I consciously created a glimpse of my story as a prompt.
